Rahmat Ratan bags Miss PTC Punjabi 2019 title in glittering grand finale

Miss PTC Punjabi 2019 culminated with a glittering grand finale on October 20 at Lovely Professional University Campus, Jalandhar.

The platform has been growing bigger and bigger every year. The grand event witnessed the presence of many celebrities from Bollywood and Punjabi music and film Industry. This platform has already contributed and glorified the entertainment and fashion industry by giving them celebrated faces like Bhawna Sharma (actor), Himanshi Khurana (actor), Khushpreet Kaur (model), Khushi Malhotra (actor), Aveera (model & actor), Roshni and Jaspinder Cheema (actor).

The 10-year-old initiative is a celebration of ‘Punjabiyat’ that embodies every Punjabi woman. The Channel invited entries for Miss PTC Punjabi from Punjab, Chandigarh and Delhi. The shortlisted contestants competed on various parameters like Solo Acting, Cooking, Dancing, Theme Acting, Outdoor Tasks, Household Tasks and many more in Studio Rounds.

The initiative reached to different cities for auditions with the judge’s panel including Neha Bhasin, Satinder Satti, Gurpreet Chaddha and Bobey Layal. It is indeed heartening, that it has already become one of the most coveted beauty titles in the region. The entries were in thousands and the selection process was a gruelling affair that went on for over 50 days. After this exciting journey of selections and eliminations during auditions, ultimately 10 finalists were selected by the judge’s panel.

The glittering finale night witnessed a galaxy of prominent personalities from entertainment industry.

The event witnessed power-packed performances by big names like Gippi Greywal, Jazzy B, Neha Basin, Zora Randhawa, Gurnam Bhullar and Ninja who took the celebration on a different level while Zareen Khan also graced the event with her presence. Though it was a tough test for the judges as the finalists were all set for the final showdown. The 9 finalists have gone through the different set of rounds, and the one who walked away with not only Miss PTC Punjabi crown but also a cash prize of Rs 1.5 lakh was none other than Rahmat Ratan. Sukhroop Kaur from Ludhiana was adjudged the first runner-up. She got Rs 50,000 as cash prize from the judges. Supreet Kaur from Malot, got the second runner-up title. Supreet received the cheque of Rs 35,000 as her prize money.

Speaking on the occasion, Rabindra Narayan – MD & President, PTC Network emphasised the significance of such initiatives which provides a platform to the youth of Punjab in order to let their dream come true. He also extended his gratitude for the full cooperation and support from the partners and viewers, for making this season a grand success.

The network also used this occasion to launch its upcoming brand campaign ‘Ye Diwali Dilwali’. The network also gave a surprise to Jazzy B with the presence of Yudhvir Manak (a very close friend of Jazzy B) on the stage. The meeting of two close friends like this created an emotional moment in the event. The channel launched the campaign with a very emotional audio visual which was well appreciated by the audience and celebrities.

In a bid to reinforce Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabiyat the network has been constantly leaving no stone unturned to churn out innovative and unique content for the Punjabi viewers. The network, which produces and owns more than 80% of the original Punjabi language non-film and music software now have seven Punjabi channels to its bouquet currently.
