Delhi-Moga Express extended to Firozpur Cantt, major boost for rail connectivity in Punjab

Locals have welcomed the move, calling it a much-needed step to enhance accessibility and business opportunities in the area

01 November, 2025 – Chandigarh : In a major development for railway connectivity in Punjab, Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu has announced that the 22485 Delhi–Moga Express would now be extended to Firozpur Cantt.

As per the revised schedule, the train would depart from Delhi, travel via Jakhal and Ludhiana and reach Moga at 13:57, departing again at 13:59.

From there, it will continue to Firozpur Cantt, arriving at 15:00. On the return journey, the train would leave Firozpur Cantt at 15:35 and reach Delhi at 23:35.

Minister Ravneet Bittu also expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for their unwavering support and commitment toward strengthening rail infrastructure in Punjab.

“The long-standing demand of the people of Firozpur and nearby areas has finally been fulfilled. This will not only benefit passengers but also provide a major boost to trade and connectivity in the region,” Bittu stated.

The extension of the Delhi–Moga Express to Firozpur is expected to bring greater convenience to passengers and improve economic activity across northwestern Punjab.

Locals have welcomed the move, calling it a much-needed step to enhance accessibility and business opportunities in the area.
