Gunmen fire 8 rounds at Ludhiana luxury car showroom, leave gangster slips
Showroom owner has denied receiving any extortion calls so far, it houses high-end vehicles, including Mercedes-Benz and Range Rover models
10 January, 2026 – Ludhiana : A luxury car showroom located in Baddowal near Mullanpur, opposite the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) camp on the Ludhiana–Ferozepur highway, was targeted by unidentified armed miscreants who opened fire in broad daylight on Saturday.
According to police, two suspects riding a motorcycle arrived at the Royal Limo showroom around 10.30 am and fired seven to eight rounds. Several bullets struck the front windshields of luxury vehicles parked on the showroom premises, while others hit the main entrance door, causing damage.
After the firing, the assailants fled the scene but left behind two slips of paper bearing the names of alleged gangsters Pawan Shaukeen and Mohabbat Randhawa.
These slips, along with bullet shells recovered from the spot, have been seized by the police.
The sudden gunfire caused panic among showroom employees and customers present at the time. However, no injuries were reported.
The showroom houses high-end vehicles, including Mercedes-Benz and Range Rover models.
Following the incident, the Mullanpur police, led by DSP Varinder Singh Khosa, reached the spot and initiated an investigation. Preliminary police inquiries suggest the incident may be linked to an extortion attempt.
DSP Khosa stated that although slips naming gangsters were found outside the showroom, the showroom owner has denied receiving any extortion calls so far. “The investigation is ongoing to determine the motive behind the firing,” he said.
