PSEB Class XII Results Announced; 3 Students Score 500/500

As many as 2,42,755 candidates out of the total 2,65,417 cleared the exam with a pass percentage of 91.46

13 May, 2026 – Mohali : Gurukul Academy Public Senior Secondary School, Ubha, Mansa, student Supneet Kaur scored 500/500 in the science stream to emerge state topper in the Class XII Punjab School Education Boards, the result for which was announced today.

Suhani Chauhan of BCM Senior Secondary School, Jamalpur Colony, Ludhiana, and Diwanshi of Teja Singh Sutantar Memorial Senior Secondary School, Simlapuri, Ludhiana scored 500/500 marks in the humanities stream to bag the second and third position respectively.

As all three candidates scored identical marks, age criteria (lower) is used to determine the position of the students.

As many as 2,42,755 candidates out of the total 2,65,417 cleared the exam with a pass percentage of 91.46.

In academic session 2024-2025, the overall pass percentage was 91.

Amritsar (96 per cent), Pathankot (95.66 per cent) and SBS Nagar (95.62 per cent) were the top three districts in terms of pass percentage. Ludhiana (87.04 per cent), Muktsar (87.64 per cent) and Fazilika (87.64 per cent) were the bottom rung districts.

Mohali’s overall pass percentage was 93.86. Out of the total 7,775 students 7,298 cleared the exam. Four girls from the district made it to the state merit list.

Patiala district had the maximum students (59) in the merit list. Ludhiana had 40 students, while Amritsar had 27 students. Malerkotla had only one student in the merit list while no students from Pathankot district could make it to the top 278.

The pass percentage of girls (94.73) was significantly higher than that of boys (88.52).

There was little to differentiate between the pass percentage of urban students (91.24) from that of rural area students (91.63). Non-government schools (92.68) fared slightly better than the government schools (91.41), while aided schools registered a pass percentage of 88.44.

As many as 17,495 students have compartment in various subjects, while 5,109 students have failed the annual exams. The result of 58 students have been witheld for various reasons.
