Chandigarh / Anandpur Sahib: The Hon’ble Union Minister for Law, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, today inaugurated a newly constructed hospital in Nurpur Bedi. The hospital is located just 8 kilometres from Anandpur Sahib.
This state-of-the-art hospital is the first cancer treatment centre in the entire Puadh region. It will also provide other life-saving healthcare services to the thousands of people living in the area which is quite deficient of such services.
The Hon’ble Minister was received at Chandigarh Airport by Colonel Jaibans Singh, Shri S. R. Ladhar, IAS (Retd.), and Shri Mohinder Singh, IAS (Retd.). and. He was then escorted by road to the hospital premises.
This hospital has been established in the name of the Tenth Guru, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, and stands as a distinguished tribute dedicated to the supreme martyrdom of the Ninth Guru, Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. At present, the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji is being commemorated worldwide.
NRI social worker Shri Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal, who made significant contributions towards the construction and development of the hospital, expressed his gratitude to all visitors and distinguished guests.
On this occasion, Member of Parliament from Delhi Shri Manoj Tiwari, Shri Iqbal Singh Lalpura, and several other eminent personalities were present.
Around 5,000 people from nearby areas attended the event. Baba Naunihal Singh and Baba Gurpreet Singh, associated with the tradition of the Panj Pyare, also graced the ceremony with their presence.
